The Bracken Table
Hebden Bridge

Somewhere to sit down properly.

Breakfast until it's really lunch, cake all day, and coffee worth crossing town for. Bring the dog, bring the boots, bring the paper.

A quick look

What you'll find

A cooked breakfast on a rustic plate

Breakfast & brunch

Served till 2pm. Big plates, proper sausages, eggs how you like them, and a veggie fry that isn't an afterthought.

A display of cakes and traybakes under a glass dome

Home baking

Everything on the counter is made here. The Bakewell slice and the sticky ginger loaf go fast.

A flat white in a ceramic cup

Coffee & tea

Beans from a roaster over in Todmorden, a proper pot of loose-leaf, and hot chocolate that needs a spoon.

The café interior with mismatched wooden chairs and plants on the windowsill
Since 2019

A small kitchen that takes it seriously

We cook from scratch with what's good that week — vegetables from the market up the road, bread from a bakery in Mytholmroyd, eggs from a farm we can see from the hill.

It's the sort of place where the staff know the regulars' orders and there's always a water bowl by the door.

"Best flat white in Hebden and the staff are lovely with our two kids. It's our Saturday morning without fail."

— The Okafor family
